City of Pharr

One of the more unique and rewarding dimensions of this department is our management and maintenance of the city’s rental facilities. Although we oversee the maintenance of the administrative offices at city hall, parks and recreation administration, and the library, we provide rental facilities for a diverse variety of functions.

The Jose “Pepe” Salinas Memorial Civic Center, which currently offices the parks and recreation department, is located on 1011 W. Kelly. This facility may accommodate up to 500 individuals and is approximately 8,500 square feet. This rental facility is primarily utilized for more intimate receptions such as luncheons and small dances.
