Computer Classes
Classes will teach you how to use computers for everyday tasks like word processing, e-mail, and internet surfing. These classes are taught by library staff and are designed for beginning computer users. All classes are 1.5 hours and meet twice a week for 5 weeks unless noted otherwise. Classes are $10 dollars for 5 weeks. No refunds will be given after 2nd week! Unless otherwise noted, all classes will be held in the computer classroom on the first floor of the Library.
Basic Computers
This course will introduce basic computer concepts by exploring hardware and software components. The student will also be introduced to the windows XP operating system.
Internet/E-Mail
This course will introduce the world of computing by covering what the Internet is, how to get access to it and using the internet for research. Topics include internet browsers, search engines, web based e-mail, and security.
Microsoft Office
This Course will teach you the basics of Office Word, Excel and Power Point, from creating documents to making detailed charts on excel and how to start making power point presentations.
Registration Process
- Registration Begins two weeks before start of courses
- Select the course
- Register and pay at the circulation desk
- Payment is required at registration
- Registration ends when class is full
Course Materials
Class handouts will be provided by the instructor. Students should bring a pen and paper for taking notes.
Classes – Monday & Wednesdays – Morning Classes: 9:30AM – 11:00AM
Evening Classes: 5:30PM – 7:00PM
Classes – Tuesdays & Thursday – Morning Classes: 9:30AM – 11:00AM
