Tourism

The City of Pharr is a well known location for all types of tourists.  Pharr enjoys receiving people from our own United States (Winter Texans), people from our nation to the South, people from our nation to the North, and even world-wide travelers.

Individuals can enjoy our almost year-round tropical season, our recreation facilities, our historical locations, come to see our plethora of bird life living in our wild life sanctuaries, and just enjoy a cup of coffee in one of our many ‘sit down and visit’ restaurants.

The Pharr Chamber of Commerce dedicates a tremendous amount of time and efforts in communicating such events, places and sites to our visitors.  Enjoy your visit of the Chamber of Commerce Web page.

Tourists are welcome to enjoy a quiet and educational time by visiting our Library.  Historical information, public events, and other information is available.  Travel to the Library via their Web Page.

Tourists were entertained by Pharr’s Centennial Celebration Event on March 28, 2009. The event, coordinated by the Pharr Chamber of Commerce and City of Pharr staff, provided all attendees with family fun, food, historical information, VIP’s, music, way into the night and all taking place in the Downtown Historical District.
